The Job

The purpose of the Project Manager (Privacy and Risk Mitigation) is to facilitate the planning, management, and cross-functional implementation of projects associated with department or organizational specific initiatives. The Project Manager combines analytical thinking, business knowledge and project management skills to make certain individual projects are carried out on time, within budget, and in alignment with goals.

You Will

Manage Privacy projects associated with department or organizational specific initiatives. Assemble team members, plan project costs, manage risks, and make sure team members are on schedule.

Initiate and ensure alignment with project sponsor on scope, objectives/goals, stakeholders, milestones, and deliverables.

Facilitate Privacy discussion with appropriate stakeholders to define specific tasks, schedule, resource needs, and deliverables to achieve milestones and overall objectives/outcomes.

Ensure change management feasibility, plan and implement accordingly. Provide ongoing communication to keep key stakeholders and team members apprised of plan, progress, risks, and outcomes.

Provide an individualized stakeholder approach resulting in a streamlined and positive stakeholder experience. Escalate issues, risks, or other appropriate information to project sponsor and other stakeholders as appropriate.

Facilitate internal and external meetings to drive quality project deliverables.

Ensure project remains on time, by managing schedules or resources and removing barriers.

Identify and manage project risks, develop, and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.

Monitor and control projects by measuring progress and correcting course when projects go beyond scope or are not meeting goals, budget, and/or objectives.

Utilize consistent project methodology, tools, and templates to uphold project-to-project consistency. Provide excellence in standards across projects and principles of practice, including maintenance of documentation.

Other duties as assigned by the Chief Privacy Officer and/or Privacy Director.

Manage and oversee Privacy incidents for SCAN and affiliated medical groups: Review contracts to ensure privacy compliance; Provide HIPAA Guidance to internal and external stakeholders; Create, review and update Privacy Policies. Assist Chief Privacy Officer and/or Privacy Director with Strategic planning and project implementation.

Actively support the achievement of SCAN’s Vision and Goals.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred. A comparable combination of education/experience and/or training will be considered equivalent to the education listed.
  • PMP Preferred
  • 0-3 years of project or program management, with an Intermediate to Advanced understanding of project management principals.

    Demonstrated capability of panning for short- and long-term range goals

  • Moderate to strong skills in quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis, and problem-solving
  • Analyzing internal / intra-departmental processes
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, catered to a variety of audiences at various levels
  • Managing competing priories and expectations across multiple stakeholders, ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously
  • Effective change management
  • Demonstrated understanding of healthcare industry
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships and facilitate the exchange of information across business units
