Job Duties: Serve as senior external and internal communications lead for a large, global, high-technology company. Execute corporate communication strategy, identify improvement opportunities, and coordinate implementation of ongoing changes for effective corporate and individual business unit communications in North American region. – Provide technical guidance in creation of employee communication publications and outreach to heighten internal awareness of Safran’s business goals, corporate values, policies, projects, and events. Lead subordinates and fellow communications managers in team environment to ensure internal communications demonstrate effective and measurable objectives of company. Create proposals for Safran’s internal communications plans to promote individual company’s image and recognition by its parent company, to include oversight and approval for all business development brochures, data sheets, visual media, stories, announcements, and presentations to ensure that proper messaging is conveyed and respect for the corporate brand maintained. Create content for internal and external website development in order to ensure that communications align with Safran’s image and corporate messaging. Develop and deploy all local media relations strategies across the US, with a focus on states where Safran has a strong presence. Co-develop corporate communications strategies with Group headquarters by tailoring content for the North American audience and ensure success of these strategies by overseeing all digital, audiovisual, multimedia, and internal and external communications. Manage Safran’s U.S. corporate citizenship program: develop and maintain relationships with key U.S. stakeholders; evaluate and recommend outreach causes for Safran Foundation support. Lead a network of Safran communications managers throughout North America, developing talent, ensuring constant improvement, and driving brand recognition and revenues through effective messaging.
Candidate skills & requirements
Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor’s (or foreign equivalent) in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field and 5 years’ experience in global marketing, branding, and corporate communication functions in a large, multinational organization engaged in advanced technology systems and applications. All stated experience must also include the following: Implementing corporate communications strategy; Managing development of advertising campaigns for print and web; Creating and editing C-suite communications; Creating cutting-edge digital communications projects; Developing communications plans for corporate and business unit crisis management; Implementing change management communications; Creating and deploying a corporate social media strategy; Presenting new projects and procedures to C-suite executives; and Managing external creative and media agencies, to included negotiation of non-disclosure agreements and contracts. Must be fluent in French. Compensation including a base salary of $136,500 per year to $146,500. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as selected candidate’s experience.
