The MPP Delivery Readiness team collaborates with our colleagues across the Provider market to ensure organized, smooth, successful service delivery to our clients. This team is charged with streamlining, aligning, and executing on strategies, programs, financial targets, risk, issues, and dependencies, across all delivery stages for Market Performance Partnership engagements. This position will report to the Director, MPP Delivery Readiness and primary responsibilities are focused on portfolio, program, and project managing delivery engagements/initiatives for large partnership clients with respect to cross-pillar delivery, revenue cycle management, strategic improvements, precontracting delivery assurance, and more.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive portfolio/program/project level strategies, milestones, tasks, design, planning, and creation of appropriate deliverables to facilitate delivery across all stages for a client
  • Independently manage portfolio/program with multiple workstreams across different service domain organizations
  • Proactively ensure accountable teams deliver against financial and operational performance targets through development of and adherence to effective process mechanisms
  • Integrate, adhere to, and align stakeholders to standard delivery model/framework
  • Develop Client-specific Program plan, establishing internal Governance and supporting structures to ensure successful delivery for MPP Clients across all service domains and stages
  • Facilitate formal Tollgates (stage gates) between the stages of delivery
  • Drive cross functional collaboration among Account, Transformation, Operations, and other functional teams
  • Maintain solid executive presence with communication skills that span organizational levels
  • Form solid relationships with internal and external customers, using influence and sound judgment to negotiate competing agendas and priorities between stakeholder groups
  • Create presentations, status reports, job aids, road maps, frameworks, playbooks
  • Create communication plans that socialize and gain consensus for solutions and processes to be implemented
  • Understand the business, systems, and operational processes to be able to guide and support the implementation of solutions
  • Leverage sound project management methodologies and tools
  • Proactively identify risks and manage to risk mitigation plans that effectively deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Fluidly move between strategy and tactics, balancing business needs vs. execution
  • Seamlessly flex into and out of multiple engagements based on priorities and business needs within an ever-changing, always evolving environment

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of portfolio management, program management, project management, leadership, and / or operational management experience in a matrixed environment
  • 5+ years of experience with end-to-end portfolio, program, and / or project documentation including: CBA, project plan, status reports, RASCI, business requirements, process flows, communication plan, and risk mitigation
  • Healthcare Industry experience in the Provider market
  • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency using project management tools like Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Planview Adaptive Work, etc.
  • Proven ability to influence and work with internal and external stakeholders/resources to move projects and programs forward and overcome any challenges
  • Proven wired to thrive, establish clarity out of chaos, comfortable being uncomfortable, make sense amidst ambiguity
  • Proven capable of working independently, with limited direction and in a team environment
  • Proven comfortable presenting to executive leaders and all other levels throughout the organization with proven experience doing so
  • Proven stellar organization and comprehension capabilities with a keen eye on details
  • Proven commitment to a culture and team that is kind, transparent, open, compassionate, inclusive, collaborative, and high performing

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
