The Nevada Supreme Court is excited to be recruiting qualified candidates for the position of Web Content and Social Media Coordinator which serves under the direction of the Director of Human Resources. The Web Content and Social Media Coordinator is part of a small staff that perform critical roles in managing the internal and external web content for the Supreme Court.
Position Description
The Web Content and Social Media Coordinator performs a variety of internet and intranet functions both independently and in a team environment. Duties include assisting with the production of Court publications, developing and supporting the Court’s internet and intranet websites and conducting social media planning, posting, and monitoring. The Web Content and Social Media Coordinator collaborates with Administrative Office of the Courts IT personnel on all projects related to the Court’s technology and software needs.
Examples of Duties / Knowledge & Skills
- Works with judicial branch officers and staff to build, edit, and publish usable and visually appealing content and multimedia components using a web content management system and other creative tools.
- Provides web content management system expertise and training to a team of content managers.
- Ensures web content is in plain language, on brand, is optimized for search engines, and meets accessibility standards.
- Applies user-centered design to new and redeveloped content to increase website and intranet use and to improve user experience.
- Identifies methods and practices to collect user feedback, whether through website traffic data, usability testing, online surveys, or other sources, to improve the online experience for internal and external users.
- Monitors web analytics and reports insights to improve user experience.
- Establishes processes, standards, and governance to ensure web content follows best practices and meets web accessibility guidelines.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of HTML, CSS, SEO, Google analytics, content management systems, user-centered design, and accessibility.
- Demonstrates up-to-date knowledge of graphic, photo, video, and design programs, especially those in the Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Understands and correctly applies the judicial branch brand look and feel, maintains its integrity across communication products and platforms, and translates it into a clear, confident, and human voice.
- Produces high-quality photo, video, audio, and graphic content for use in digital communications, including emails, news releases, newsletters, infographics, and reports. Includes digital products for the web, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.
- Maintains an asset library.
- Acquires extensive knowledge of judicial branch programs and activities to quickly, effectively, concisely, and accurately respond to internal and external inquiries to prevent or mitigate confusion.
- Serves as back-up contact for media and public.
Minimum qualifications & Requirements
The successful candidate must have experience with Content Management Systems, web design, Microsoft Office Suite, graphics editing software and graphic design. Familiarity with Application Programming Interfaces and data management and analysis are highly desirable. Knowledge of the judicial and appellate process would be beneficial.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be detail oriented, possess strong organizational skills, sometimes managing multiple priorities at one time. Exceptional reading comprehension and writing skills, and an excellent command of formal English are required. The successful candidate will be able to exercise good judgment and discretion, work both independently and as a productive team member, maintain confidentiality, and accept and adapt to changes in the work environment.
Effectively works remotely and collaborates with employees from a remote location, as needed. Must have expertise in virtual meeting platforms, such as Teams. Must have the ability to work remotely via an internet network connection provided by the employee. This connection speed must be sufficient to perform all duties. A minimum of 50-100 mb download speeds are required. Higher connection speed may be required if sharing this connection with other members in an employee’s household.
