Job Description:

  • Coordinates and markets all major College-wide events, including but not limited to, Graduate Recognition Ceremony, Faculty/Staff Service Awards ceremony, Faculty & Staff Mixers, Employee Picnic, Campaign for Charities, Alumni Reunion, Development Board Meeting, Research Day and major conferences.
  • Acts as a fiduciary for budgetary components, creates event flyers and other signage or advertising tools as appropriate, manages the invitation process including developing and sending the invitation, tracking RSVP’s for head count purposes, etc., catering coordination, spearheading external and internal communications, and vendor outsourcing.
  • Manages College Administration event resources and storage.
  • Seeks guidance and/or approval from appropriate higher-level authority as needed on major event details.
  • Supports various college communication and marketing efforts including, but not limited to, email communications, assists with acquisition, analysis and utilization of audience lists, email performance reporting, and ongoing college website organization and updates.
  • Orders and manages PHHP branded promotional products including communicating with suppliers and vendors for various college needs.
  • Oversees the Dean’s Ambassador Program. Facilitates opportunities to assist with College Administration initiatives such as campus tours, tabling events, volunteer work, PHHP student engagement, networking, etc.
  • Serves as the point of contact for additional student organizations to support any marketing and communication needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Expected Salary:

$52,000 – $60,000 annually; commensurate with education, skills, and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience; or an associate’s degree and five years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in an appropriate area or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Event planning experience in an academic setting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Able to work independently and with a team
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Critical and innovative thinker with problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of WordPress and WP tools a plus
  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM and Google Analytics a plus
  • -Experience with email marketing and/or web development and analytics
