Description
Position Summary:
Acts as lead coordinator and manager for the Mobile Crisis Response Team. Provides on-site direction and supervision of the teams crisis counseling response and is responsible for program implementation.
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversees staffing, training, reporting, data analysis, and fiscal monitoring
- Engages in community networking and support to build relationships with law enforcement, community resource organizations, behavioral health organizations and local long term recovery team
- Increase community awareness about Mobile Response Teams and behavioral health needs through community education and outreach
- Help to assess people who require traditional SA/MH treatment as necessary
- Provides administrative and clinical supervision to team
- Trains, debriefs and provides supervision for the crisis counselors
- Provides coordination and oversight of the crisis counselors’ plan of service
- May perform crisis counseling as needed.
- Interacts with management to gather and provide information
- Provides on call supports and supervision after hours
- Conducts Baker Act Assessments as needed
Qualifications
- Education: Masters Degree in psychology, social work or related clinical field issued by an accredited learning institute
- Must hold Florida License in Mental Health field including LMHC, LCSW or LMFT
- Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret agency and grant required documents
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
- Experience:
- Minimum of two three years of related work experience in Mental Health, and / or Substance Abuse field, preferably both.
- Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Understands, communicates (both verbally and in writing), and collaborates effectively and with precision, given the time constraints of each task.
- Other Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to provide an Affidavit of Good Moral Character
- Must have reliable transportation to travel throughout the county
- Clearance in PreEmployment Drug Testing and Criminal Records Checks, as required.
- Possesses sufficient means of independent mobility.
