Your role in our mission

  • Perform in-person, telephonic, and written outreach to Medicaid members and the member community.
  • Research member inquiries and respond to appropriate parties in a timely manner.
  • Apply knowledge of Medicaid programs and established policies and procedures to resolve member questions and issues and to work with members to ensure compliance.
  • Provide training to the member community and act as liaison with our internal departments and the customer.
  • Escalates areas of concern to leadership/the client as defined by procedures.

What we’re looking for

  • Six (6) or more years of customer service experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact, elicit, and decipher information via in-person, telephonic, or correspondence inquiries and effectively communicate to Medicaid clients and State, County, and Federal governmental personnel.
  • Excellent public presentation and speaking skills, with demonstrated professionalism in communication with members, as well as the ability to effectively communicate in small groups.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and customer service skills, along with an exceptional attention to detail and the ability to effectively work independently to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Previous experience working with Medicaid and/or Medicare recipients is preferred.

What you should expect in this role

  • Must be a resident of the state of California.
  • Hybrid work environment 1-2 days a week in the office as needed for face-to-face and client meetings with the remainder of time remote work. The office is in the Roseville/Sacramento area.
  • Required to travel as a condition of employment.

The pay range for this position is $44,800.00 – $64,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
