TMC Global Professional Services (TMC) is currently seeking an entry level Travel Logistics Coordinator who will be responsible for the coordination, support, and logistical duties of organizing conferences around the world. The Travel Logistics Coordinator must understand the project event scope and effectively coordinate events through event execution and billing. This position is contingent on contract award.
Work Location: WFH out of Albuquerque, New Mexico office
- Must be willing and able to travel anywhere in the world to provide occasional on-site support for conference execution. This typically occurs 3-4 times a year. Travel is usually 4-5 days in duration. In descending order of frequency, conferences are held in Europe, Africa, Asia, North America, and South America.
- Must possess an active passport.
- Must have a good “can-do” attitude and be a team player.
- Plans government-related and scientific events such as conferences, trainings, and workshops around the world.
- Coordinates effectively with vendors in multiple countries and across multiple time zones for conference rooms, airfare, meals, lodging, transportation, interpretation, visas, and other logistics items.
- Helps the Project Manager support all aspects of an event: setting deadlines, identifying appropriate resources, and monitoring and summarizing progress of the project.
- Supports the development of the project plan and schedule and monitors progress to ensure the event’s timely completion.
- Facilitates and troubleshoots problems or issues associated with an event.
- Must occasionally work non-standard hours to fix problems or react to changes.
- Prepares reports for management regarding status of project.
- Performs Buyer duties including making purchases according to government contracting regulations, works with contracts, drafts invoices, and resolves project accounting issues.
- Must be able to communicate clearly in spoken and written English.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Familiar with government contracting and travel procedures.
- Proficient at event planning.
- Project management certifications are a plus.
- Additional language proficiency is a plus.
