Manager, US Integrated Communications

Job Summary:

This position is an integral part of the NARS US Integrated Communications team supporting on all Creator strategies and activations, communications programs and initiatives surrounding the NARS’ US market and daily business functions. This position is heavily focused on creator-specific programming and will involve a variety of duties, which require balancing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Creator Engagement
    • Support the team’s influencer-first focus with consistent research and identification of strategic beauty influencers to target. Develop & execute creator strategy to drive brand awareness & drive sales
    • Oversee influencers during the execution of content creation and amplification campaigns from initial talent sourcing to content briefing, final content reviews, posting and reporting
    • Partner with US Media team to contract & secure creator-led partnerships for brand & retailer campaigns
    • Develop and maintain relationships to drive organic brand support and EMV
    • Ideate around impactful influencer programming to support strategic launches
  • Media Relations
    • Liaise with digital and select print media; handle daily press requests, pitch feature story ideas, develop and maintain relationships with key editors at KPI outlets
    • Conduct outreach to select editors to announce new launches and share press tools to secure earned coverage
  • Event Management and Coordination
    • Work with Executive Director to produce press and influencer events; handle coordination of logistics including production, venue selection, catering, car service, etc.
    • Support the Executive Director in all media engagement for Fashion Week including invites, RSVP, backstage staffing, pitching features, etc.
  • Forecasting / Mailings / Product Inventory Management
    • Oversee all product forecasts, manage the team in planning for mailings and overseeing product inventory for existing and new launches
    • Support all US launches and programs with product seeding
  • Reporting and Presentations
    • Support the Executive Director in all department reporting and presentations
  • Media List Management
    • Oversee Coordinators management of media and influencer lists, ensuring they are updated on a regular basis to confirm we are pitching and sending product to all key players in the industry
  • Oversee Intern
    • Manage Intern’s daily responsibilities, help them to prioritize daily tasks and staying on track while balancing a variety of projects
  • Budget
    • Support Executive Director in maintaining itemized budgets for programming throughout the calendar year

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 4-6 years of experience in public relations/communications in agency or in-house, excluding internships. Experience in beauty PR preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of Creator Platforms: Tribe Dynamics, Hypr, Tiktok Creator Marketplace, etc.
  • Knowledge of the influencer and media landscape domestically
  • Professional writing skills, including strategies, press releases, media alerts, talking points, and guidelines amongst others
  • Demonstrates a high level of maturity, resourcefulness, and poise in executive and corporate setting
  • Maintains a positive and professional attitude in all situations
  • Must work well with a large team in an open-office setting
  • Holds a strong work ethic and standard for which tasks and projects are completed (Attention to detail is a must)
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong understanding and passion for the beauty and cosmetics industry
