Department Overview

The Fair Lending Center of Excellence is an AMCB-wide initiative, supported at the Management Committee level, that will further solidify our pledge to offer services and products – across all lines of business – to better serve a more diverse customer base.• Serves as the first point of contact for fair lending subject matter related questions from the consumer product business groups, with support from the Fair Lending Senior Manager and FLCoE Head, as needed.• In coordination with the consumer product business units and Fair Banking Compliance (FBC), provides fair lending subject matter support to the consumer product business units to support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of fair lending risks. Coordinate with FBC to ensure that guidance is accurate and consistent.• Manage a Centralized FLCoE Outlook Mailbox, monitor inbox for fair lending inquiries, and track progress of aged inquiries.• Monitor and track the varying subject matter inquiries received by the FLCoE to identity trends, common themes and/or frequently asked questions, and volume of inquiries.• Responsible for drafting quarterly FLCoE FAQs and/or hot topics, and facilitating quarterly discussions with Fair Lending Oversight Committees (FLOCs) to review FAQs and/or hot topics.• Collaborates closely with Retail and Commercial LOB and second line Fair Lending advisors to help identify, assess, aggregate and report on Fair Lending compliance risks.• Collaborates with the Consumer Products business units, in order for the business units to mitigate fair lending risks across the enterprise including during the proposed change or implementation of new products, services or process changes.• Supports the development and maintenance of the 1st line Fair Lending compliance program and policies by understanding the regulation, analysis of regulatory changes, and various business changes.• Reviews and evaluates LOB alleged discrimination complaints no less than quarterly to assess resolution, response and trends to determine if actions or enhancements are recommended.• Reviews Fair Lending Risks Assessments, including evaluation of inherent risk as well as the sufficiency of business unit controls to detect and prevent fair lending risk.• Supports the development and updating of fair lending 1LOD aggregated reporting requirements.• Collaborates with second line fair lending subject matter experts regarding data analyses as well as LOB testing and make practical recommendations in response to the results of such analytics and collaborate to track and implement control enhancements.• Interprets and communicates results of 1st line fair lending quantitative analyses reports and risk assessments.• Escalates fair lending risks to Fair Lending Senior Manager, FLCoE Head, executive leadership, Senior Management, FBC, and other specific product owners, as required.• Assists in identifying training needs as warranted and ensure the LOB specific training is delivered.

Job Requirements
• Undergraduate degree required• 10+ years relevant experience• Relevant professional designations and/or certifications as required• Advanced knowledge of a variety of products and services, systems, and compliance advisory standards, procedures, laws, rules and regulations to deliver objective guidance and independent challenge on initiatives• Knowledge of risk management environment, standards and regulations• Knowledge of current and emerging trends• Ability to lead, plan, implement and evaluate program/project activities to ensure completion• Ability to contribute to strategic direction of the Compliance advisory function and provide advice to senior leadership• Skill in mentoring and coaching• Skill in using advanced analytical software tools, data analysis methods and specialized reporting techniques• Skill in using computer applications including MS Office• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form• Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams and functions• Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently• Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions• Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
