Meet the team:
As a member of the R&D team the Sr. Test Development Engineer will contribute to the full life cycle of software products in a fast-growing organization. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, experienced in test automation and should be capable of making the changes necessary to increase the automation coverage and improve/develop the test framework. He/she leads the testing effort. The ideal candidate recognizes the value of effective testing that is traceable to specifications and is compliant with regulatory expectations.
This Engineer will ensure the quality promise is upheld by measuring quality performance and making sure QA resources, tools, and processes are available to those who need them. They will facilitate communication between functional teams and work closely with team members to achieve results aligned with the overall project goal.
Where you come in:
- Participate in the development of software requirements and design specification.
- Participate in building quality into products by writing automated tests and performing tests including ad hoc testing throughout the development cycle.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test scripts to test the functionalities of the Dexcom CGM software, and system.
- Create verification and validation test plans, test reports, traceability matrices and review with relevant stakeholders.
- Record and track issues in the bug tracking system
- Analyze failures and collaborate with development teams to ensure root cause is investigated.
- Contribute to release process improvements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship for junior engineers.
What makes you successful:
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in software development or software test development using Python or other OOP languages
- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Strong experience with automated test development in API testing is required.
- Experience working within a wide variety of automated testing frameworks, including Robot framework.
- Strong understanding of API Testing, micro services, and distributed systems in cloud environments.
- Experience working with automated UI testing.
- Experience working in Cloud Applications like Google Cloud or AWS
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker, Kubernetes
- CI/CD experience, especially using cloud-based technologies.
- Two or more years of Agile development and test development experience.
Experience and Education
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Masters degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience.
Exempt Salary Details
- The annual base salary range for this role is $95,900 to $159,900. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.
