Incorporated in 1955 and encompassing more than 454 acres, the Mt. Prospect Park District provides outstanding recreational programs, events, parks, facilities and services. With seven primary facilities and 27 neighborhood parks, the Park District is an integral part of a thriving multi-generational community. District open space includes two outdoor pools, biking and walking paths, a dog park and sizable space for outdoor athletic programming. The District covers over 11 square miles and serves a region of over a quarter million residents in Mount Prospect and surrounding communities.
We are searching for a part-time Art Studio Instructor for the District’s Art Studio at Melas Park. The Art Studio Instructor is responsible for offering instruction and guidance for beginning to advanced level students in all mediums of art and crafts. Additionally, the Art Studio Instructor will prepare projects and instructions from beginning to end, instruct youth classes as assigned and lead parties on weekends. The Art Studio Instructor must be at least 21 years old and can expect to work on average 12 to 18 hours per week primarily with hours 2-3 days per week during the daytime and 2-3 days a week with hours after school, plus occasional hours on the weekend for parties. The pay range for this position is $17-$21 per hour, depending on qualifications. Park District part-time employees also receive facility discounts and privileges.
