The Director of Learning and Development will create and implement the luxury service guidelines for Hotel Swexan. They will report into the Human Resources department but partners senior hotel leadership in consistently training all Hotel employees.
Responsibilities
- Meet with ownership and the Hotel’s senior operation leadership to strategize and build the luxury service model needed to brand the hotel’s level of service.
- Create opening and continuous training programs for all hotel employees.
- Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
- Manage service audits by observing and evaluating performance.
- Build and maintain relationships with learning and training vendors as necessary.
- Delivers exceptional experiences including department orientation, as needed for preshifts, live training, written materials and presentations.
- Plans, organizes, facilitates and orders supplies for employee development and training events.
- Creates classes or programs to keep employees up to date on continuous levels of service, either face-to-face and/or online.
- Coaches management staff and ensures their performance is visible to their team(s)
- Drives brand values and philosophy in all training materials.
- Partners with department leaders to understand department challenges and creates unique solutions.
- Develops and monitors spending against the departmental budget.
- Build and maintains Learning and Development class and event calendar.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Experience implementing or recreating luxury hotel service training models for multiple departments
- Impactful development and design of training materials
- Experience in employee engagement and employer branding
- Must have excellent analytical skills in order to conduct full scale needs assessments
- Excellent communication and time management skills
