Job Description:

The Receptionist/Office Assistant/Front of House staff is the first point of contact for UF Performing Arts patrons, other staff, and visitors. During normal business hours the receptionist if responsible for the following:
Answer multi-line phone system in pleasant and polite manner, transferring calls and taking messages as needed
Make sure the building is open and ready for business and closed and locked up when appropriate
Provide general information and guidance to guests
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and package deliveries
Logging received packages and checks
Logging lost and found items
Issuing parking permits and tracking usage and returns
Data entry
Assist with other Front of House office duties as assigned
In the event of an emergency, assists Front of House management with contacting emergency services
This is a part-time position with variable hours with events typically taking place on nights and weekends. Anticipated hours are M/W/F 8:45am-12:00pm, and evenings 5:30pm-10:00pm as needed.
In addition to the duties listed above, UFPA expects the following of each of our employees: adheres to theater’s policies and procedures, works in a safe manner, performs duties as workload necessitates, maintains a positive and respectful attitude, communicates regularly with supervisors about department issues, demonstrates efficient time management and prioritizes workload. Demonstrates regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
Expected Salary:
$13.00 per hour
Minimum Requirements:
Strong customer service and communication skills. Schedule flexibility required for mornings, evening and weekend events.

This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.
