What You’ll Do
As a Product Owner, you’ll join our Enterprise Experience Enablement (EEE) platform product management team. We are a shared service that our business units use. Unlike the typical external customer facing products, our platform products you’ll support are used by our internal business units, such as engineers on other product teams, operations teams, marketing teams, etc. By acquiring a deep understanding of the platform’s capabilities and complexities, you’ll use that knowledge to empower internal teams across the enterprise to better solve problems for their customers.
You’ll play a key role in supporting our platform products that:
- Develop solutions guided by the vision and strategy for the platform
- Provide relevant insights with influence and data to internal business partners who are delivering consumer solutions for Principal’s financial success
- Create enablement, provide ops & services support and bring innovation within technology and platform domain that is focused on future growth
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Bring a multi-disciplinary background that blends technical and business insight. You’re passionate about discovering the problems and generating value proposition through solution hypothesis
- Implement product vision, strategies, and roadmaps in the context of broader organizational strategy, communicating priorities and goals
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to build and enhance impact. Partner deeply and often with engineering, business units, program managers, operating teams, customer experience teams, etc.
- Be a change agent establishing true product management practices & direction within EEE product lines

- Responsibility for enacting on the vision for enterprise physical content delivery capabilities, focusing on the order and delivery orchestration of our physical documents
- Responsibility towards our enterprise enablement and technical implementation of our Consent and Preference management platform
- Responsibility for maintaining and driving strategy within the marketing technology ecosystem

Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of business experience
- 3+ years of product management experience
- Partnering with technology teams, gaining a high level technical understanding, and supporting technology products through an agile environment experience
- Exceptional communication skills including the ability to influence and negotiate with partners at all levels of the company
- Understanding of users, marketplace, competition, trends

Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range
$77400 – $140000 / year

Limited travel may be required.
Work Environments
This role offers the ability for in-office, hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements. You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
