What you will be doing
The Senior Replenishment Buyer is responsible for overseeing the work of assigned member of the Replenishment Team to ensure profitable procurement and timely delivery of products for assigned vendor product lines. Works closely with Replenishment Manager & Corporate Director, and national/local replenishment representatives to achieve the goals of the company. Provides supply chain/inventory management for an assigned promotionally active buying desk and corresponding financial accountabilities. Procures product in accordance with all policies and procedures established by the company.
The position will either be based in our main regional offices or within one of our Distribution Centers.
Main responsibilities
- Ensure that established policies and procedures are understood and adhered to by all replenishment buying staff.
- Work to obtain inventory and inventory productivity goals on assigned buying desk.
- Assist Replenishment Manager in setting performance targets for buying team in relation to anticipated and actual sales and see that these are maintained.
- Participate in the formulation of broad policies and long-range goals, objectives, plans, programs, and projects of the assigned work group.
- Interface with other departments and division personnel to accomplish job functions. Develop and maintain good working relationships with vendors, store operations, distribution center, division office and national/local replenishment representatives.
- Develop and mentor assigned members of the Replenishment Team.
The salary range is $72,100 to $ 108,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility).

What we are searching for
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent Supply Chain experience. MBA a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years buying experience in the retail industry preferred.
- Retail operations/Marketing experience preferred or strong understanding of store operations and merchandising methodologies and practices.
- Working knowledge of procurement, logistics and inventory management practices.
