Trade Promotion Management (TPM) is pivotal to the growth of PepsiCo’s revenue, profit and market share with Finance, Sales, and Net Revenue Management reliant on value-add insights that can only be derived from this digitized next-gen technology.

TPM is part of the SAP PGT (PepsiCo Global Template) project which is the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This will modernize the data foundations upon which all other systems interact, enabling us to retire hundreds of legacy systems and unlock integrated and native technologies to underpin future advanced capabilities that we can’t leverage today.

There are 9 countries already live with PGT TPM around the world as of June 2023 (Australia-New Zealand [ANZ], Belgium-Netherlands-Luxembourg [BNL], the UK, Poland, PBNA, and FLNA [both US and Canada in NA] and plans for Quaker and Gatorade North America in Q4 ’23+. The project will continue to move forward with future international markets to be named later. The CBP (Customer Business Planning) Associate Manager will engage with all live markets but will play a key on the slated Quaker and Gatorade North America deployment (if approved).

Responsibilities

Reporting to the GPL (Global Process Lead) of CBP and RoW (Rest of World), this role will partner with local and sector resources to drive continuous improvement of existing TPM deployments and spearhead CBP aspects of the slated Quaker and Gatorade NA deployment.

CBP is fundamental to all elements of TPM; from customer setup and promotion planning, to execution and analysis of past deals. This role requires an end-to-end mindset ensuring that all decisions in the CBP space positively impact other areas of TPM (e.g. settlements, prediction and optimization) and ultimately drive value and efficiency into the markets. Being able to inspire and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization is critical.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary point of contact for the QGC deployment regards the CBP work stream
  • Demonstrate gold standard promotion planning and execution behaviors to markets and partner with local teams to adopt and adapt relevant, applicable and value add capabilities
  • Act as advocate of change, creating excitement and inspirational leadership to markets for all topics related to E2E customer business planning
  • Understand process interdependencies and network with horizontals to build a comprehensive solution to TPM and financial planning
  • Understand the local promotion planning environment, current systems, and market ways of working in planned deployments to build trust, understanding and realistic goals
  • Partner with local teams to optimize TPM solution capabilities across all live RoW deployments
  • Project manage global Change Requests (CRs) impacting CBP, partnering with global solution and local technical teams to engage with local markets in a common language
  • Maintain priority trackers and engage CBP GPL for support on critical items

TRAVEL:

  • This role has global responsibility and as such some travel is required, up to 25% but the proportion can change by project phase. Locations may include, but are not limited to, current and planned deployment areas such as the Plano, TX, Purchase, NY, Chicago, IL, and International.

Compensation and Benefits:
• The expected compensation range for this position is between $81,000- $135,600 based on a full-time schedule
• Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
• Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out Annually.
• Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in FMCG sales and / or sales finance plus related experience (financial services, transformation, project management)
  • Understanding of customer growth management activities to drive volume, revenue, and margin.
  • Experience with promotional calendar building and trade terms planning to maximize returns on customer investment and achieve both customer and PepsiCo targets.
  • Knowledge of sales finance activities regards Periodic Forecasting and Close processes within a BU (ideally within North America)
  • Willing to challenge status quo and ask difficult questions to get optimal solutions and outcomes
  • Ability to influence and work through others in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Effective communicator and presenter, both written and oral, with executive presence.
  • Intellectually curious and able to deliver high quality outcomes under tight timelines.
