Head of Brand Affinity Mktg, XCM

Amazon XCM is looking for a strategic brand marketing leader to drive key initiatives designed to strengthen our global brand and reinforce how we bring our purpose to life for customers around the world. Whether optimizing our overall global brand architecture or guiding how we bring new global campaigns for priority Amazon brands to life, this leader will play a key role in the overall Brand Affinity strategy and go-to-market approach.

The Head of Brand Affinity Marketing reports to the Director of Global & Multicultural Brand Affinity Marketing and will lead priority workstreams supporting the Amazon brand. This will include annual planning and strategic oversight of big bet initiatives, such as our global brand architecture workstream and new campaigns for priority Amazon brands. It is expected that the Head of Integrated Marketing Initiatives will work closely with leaders in locales around the world to ensure all communications ladder up to our global brand strategy and to optimize how XCM operates to ensure all of our communicates meet our high creative bar.

Key job responsibilities

– Lead key strategic initiatives connected to Amazon’s global brand strategy, including global brand architecture, a mental model for how emerging/transitional locales drive brand affinity, and repositioning Shop By Interest for next gen customers.

– Optimize and own mechanism(s) that position XCM to provide creative and strategic support on new-to-world international campaigns and ongoing opportunity for backward looking inspection.

– Support annual OP1 planning process for Brand Affinity big rock, including collaborating across functional teams to ensure integrated planning.

– Serve as XCM strategic lead and liaison with business groups (e.g., Amazon Health, Amazon Business) for big bet campaigns, working closely with campaign managers embedded on business teams.

– Partner with functional leads across XCM (Portfolio, Media, Creative, Production, Strategic Planning, XCMI) to ensure optimal integration and information-sharing across key workstreams.

Amazon XCM’s mission is to create campaigns for our customers that are measurably effective, creatively breakthrough and scaled for impact. We lead campaigning for most upper-funnel fixed marketing for Amazon attributed brands.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience defining marketing strategy and executional excellence

– Experience analyzing data quantitatively and using customer research, data and metrics to back up assumptions, identifying opportunities, and assessing the efficacy of marketing programs

– Experience communicating results to senior leadership

– Experience guiding creative input, development and execution from concept to completion

– Experience in traditional and emerging media channels including TV, OOH, cinema, digital display, online video and paid social

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience leading across multiple locales

– MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $232,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
