The Role
Our Technology Modernization group is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our journey. We’re looking for someone who is collaborating with client stakeholders, collaborate with engagement teams, and maintain project documentation with the team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for project ad scope definition, business process mapping and optimization, and business analysis.
We’re looking for Senior Consultants who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Consultant, this means creating high-quality client deliverables and taking ownership (with supervision) of producing client content and meeting client expectations; developing an expertise in your functional area, including obtaining certifications; contributing to Client Satisfaction and/or RFPs; supporting leadership and contributing to content development for service offerings; and participating in PeopleCare initiatives and exhibiting personal leadership at all times. Responsibilities
Problem and Scope Definition:
• Collaborate with client and team to identify key process stakeholders
• Identify and address operational, financial, and technological risks within the business
• Identify improvement opportunities
• Communicate ideas and viewpoints to project team
• Act as a liaison between business and IT groups
• Maintain project documentation with the team
Business Process Mapping and Optimization:
• Lead a team of 2, designing and making recommendations for optimized future state business processes.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to gain consensus on current state process documentation
• Collaborate with engagement team to develop future state processes
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to obtain directional alignment on recommended future state processes
Facilitating interviews:
• Partner with engagement leadership to develop client interview questions
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
• Work with engagement leadership to interview client stakeholders to document current state business processes
• Conduct client interviews to gather detailed information about existing business processes
• Create an environment that is inclusive of all points of view yet also gets to the heart of the matter quickly
Business Analysis:
• Analyze findings presented by team members and provide feedback regarding hypotheses, conclusions, and solution structure
• Engage with internal team to solicit thoughts and challenge each other’s thinking
• Develop and present summary recommendations, including relevant people/process/technology solutions and industry-specific comparisons
Engagement Delivery:
• Deliver consistent status updates to engagement leadership regarding performance to objectives, engagement constraints, and mitigation plan for risks/issues
• Serve as “first line of defense” to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables meet or exceed client expectations
• Lead teams to package and cleanse engagement deliverables for re-use
• Support service line development and case studies through the gathering of industry best practices and self-knowledge
Qualifications
- 5 + years working in technology, consulting, professional services, or solution development within the business analysis field in technology
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or other relevant field (Required)
- Advanced Degree in Business (Preferred)
- Solution acceptance testing experience (functional, integration, manual, automation)
- Experience with program quality frameworks, methods, and tools (e.g., Six Sigma)
- Experience in working in Agile environments, and proficiency with requirements collection tools (e.g., JIRA, R4J, RRC, and so on)
- Travel Required: No

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $ 92,880-$138,960 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
