The Work You Will Do:

We are looking for highly motivated and detail-oriented candidates with great customer service skills for this Government Operations Consultant III position. This position is within the Bureau of Finance and Accounting. This position is responsible for assisting the Division of Administrative Services with department transition activities in the implementation of the State of Florida financial management system. Coordinates with administrative services, technical, and program area staff in the analysis, design, and development of updated procedures, policies, and business systems to support the agency’s implementation of the State’s enterprise-wide financial management solution.

Within this Division, the Bureau of Finance and Accounting has primary responsibility for the department’s financial and accounting activities including planning, organizing, and directing finance and accounting services.

This position is in Tallahassee, Florida.

Pay:

This position is hiring at $62,500 per year.

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Responsible for gathering, documenting, and analyzing current DEP business design information. Assist in the business process redesign and documentation, as needed. Meets with program areas, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements. Responsible for the review, analysis and documentation of the financial management system business requirements. Facilitates the review of research and analysis of existing processes. Develops strategies for the transition to the State’s enterprise-wide financial management solution. Coordinates with the program areas for the design, training, and implementation of the State’s enterprise-wide financial management solution business processes and requirements for the agency. Assist with the business process redesign and documentation, as needed. Works as directed on special assignments/projects and other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background screening.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and four years of related work experience; or A high school diploma or its equivalent and six years of related experience; or Any combination of education or experience, as described above, for a total of six years.
