Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a First Line Materials Management & Transportation Manager to join our Integrated Aero Structures and Advanced Metals Fulfillment (IAS/AMS) team in Auburn, Washington. This position is forfirst shift.

The ideal candidate will possess a variety of leadership attributes specifically related to the ability to connect with diverse audiences on various quality and productivity activities, providing feedback while maintaining sight of team goals. We are looking for aleader who can energize, excite, and motivate others to do their best by creating a confident and winning atmosphere, while also training, mentoring and coaching team members. The selected manager will be able to share knowledge and experience, while guiding and supporting members of the work group.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages and integrates employees’ activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation
  • Develops and carries out project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Leads, develops and motivates employees.
  • Works with urgency and makes decisions weighing business goals and employee’s needs.
  • Effectively communicates company and business unit goals, objectives, and priorities.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in management/leadership
  • 3+ years of production-related experience such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality
  • Ability to work over weekends and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience with One BPS and lean manufacturing training and experience
  • 1+ years of prior experience as manager, temp manager or team lead

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $121,000 – $139,700
