A leading podcast and audiobook company is seeking a Deal Operations Coordinator – Japanese Language. The successful candidate will play a support role in the initial phase of the company’s contract setup and partner onboarding process and manage changes over the contract lifecycle for Australia, Brazil/Latin America, Canada, India & Japan. The ideal candidate fosters good working relationships with internal and external partners, assists in data entry and maintenance of several key databases, and ensures the completeness and accuracy of the contract data. Deal Operations Coordinator – Japanese LanguagePay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $30-$40/hr

- 40 hours/week, 9 Month Assignment
Deal Operations Coordinator – Japanese LanguageResponsibilities:
- Rights Management & Payment Operations: Work closely with Legal, Business Affairs, Finance, and Metadata Teams as well as external partners to on-board new partners, enter terms in the contract database, update internal trackers, request upfront payments, and kick off contractually required next steps downstream. Ensure that existing processes are followed and raise opportunities for improvement.
- Support Contract to Payment Setup Process: Drive the implementation of standard contracts. Work closely with Legal, Content Acquisition & Development, Finance, and Content Lifecycle Teams to on-board new partners, enter terms in the contract database and update other internal systems, request upfront payments, and kick off contractually required next steps downstream.
- General Support: Provide general support for the Deal & Production Operations Team, including data clean-up projects, ad-hoc research, inquiry response, and trouble tickets.
Deal Operations Coordinator – Japanese Language Qualifications:
- B.A. or equivalent degree preferred.
- Data entry experience, demonstrated a high level of accuracy.
- Experience in the entertainment, digital media, or publishing field is preferred.
- Experience with IP licensing and/or contracts is preferred.
- Business fluency in Japanese and English, both written and spoken.
- Functional fluency in Outlook, Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated multi-tasking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced time-sensitive environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with a wide variety of people.
- Demonstrated focused attention to detail.
- Highly organized.
