The Lead Maintenance Technician is the front-line assistant supervisor for the maintenance department. They direct day to day activities for all manufacturing maintenance personnel on their shift. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

What you will be doing

  • Assign employees to specific jobs
  • Monitors employee job performance and provides feedback
  • Ensures that all work is documented consistent with Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Conducts weekly communication meetings with employees reviewing safety and staff notes
  • Works with internal customers to resolve product, service, and quality issues
  • Works with internal customers to prioritize work
  • Monitoring and ensuring that employees in their assigned are up to date on assigned training
  • Uses Maximo to spearhead work orders and to review PMs, crib/stockroom parts, reports, etc.
  • Enters service requests into Maximo and leads the dispatch system
  • Works with the Planning & Scheduling Supervisor/Planner to ensure PMs are not past due
  • Drives continuous improvements in 6S initiatives
  • A primary trainer for new Maintenance Tech and Maintenance Apprentices that are working in their area

What you will bring

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment or Industrial Manufacturing / Production Maintenance environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment, Industrial Manufacturing/Production Maintenance preferred.
  • Leadership experience
  • Must have electrical/electronic/Radio Frequency (RF) knowledge, mechanical skills, and maintenance repair, working knowledge of injection molding and molds or ability to learn.
  • Able to work with limited supervision, have strong communication skills, both verbally and written, good documentation skills, strong computer skills, strong organizational skills, customer oriented, work effectively under stressful conditions.

Physical / Safety Requirements

  • Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to carry and climb 10 ft. ladders.
  • Must be able to stand and work at two-hour minimum intervals.
  • Must be able to work in tight spaces.
  • Position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time

To that end, this position has a salary range of $36,000.00 to $90,000. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
