DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a network specialist 2, you will provide advanced tier 3 IT technical support, laptop encryption, knowledge management, desktop configuration, and management of virtual desktop environments, application testing, group policy management and standard operating procedure and documentation to the agencies our delivery center serves.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Four years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance; or
  • One year of experience as a Network Specialist 1; or
  • Two years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance.

Other Requirements:

  • This particular position also requires that applicants possess the following experience:
    • One or more years of full-time experience with VMware gold images
    • One or more years of full-time experience in management of VMware Horizon view environment
    • One or more years of full-time experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
    • One or more years of full-time experience in print server management
