Skydance Interactive, developers of the hit game The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, is looking for a talented, organized, and motivated Art Director to join our team of talented game developers.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Design Director and Stakeholders to define the artistic vision of the project
- Effectively communicate the defined vision to the team through research, concept art, whiteboard sketches, and discussion
- Ensure all visual aspects of the game (models, characters, maps, lighting, FX, and UI) are stylistically aligned
- Collaborate with the Leads, and Producers to establish – pipelines and develop milestones for the art team
- Build a positive work environment that encourages learning, sharing, and expansion of artistic skill sets
- Mentor and coach artists for success
- Help review and recruit new artists
Requirements
- Experience in art leadership for major console or PC releases
- Game development experience in a senior artistic role
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Identify risks early, and supply creative solutions to complex game development problems
- Experience in current 2D and 3D applications such as Photoshop, Maya, Zbrush, Substance
- Maintain clear lines communication between the creative director, producers, and the art team
- Portfolio of current work and/or screenshots/reel of games you’ve art directed
Pluses
- Experience working in Unreal Engine or other comparable game engines
- Understanding of the various parts of the game development process and pipelines
The salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $130,000 – $150,000. The salary offered may vary based on the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience and relevant expertise, among other factors. The range indicated is for base salary only and does not reflect the total compensation package, including bonus, benefits, etc.
