AWS Marketing’s Data & Campaign Products (DCP) team owns tools to capture key campaign metadata, goals, contacts and campaign performance. Our goal is to effectively use this data to determine the right campaign to show to a customer at the right time.
The Principal Product Manager-Tech (PMT) will lead DCP’s efforts to build campaign insights and performance forecasts, and drive scalable ML based personalization for our AWS customers. Experimentation, automation and scalability are a core part of our mission statement. In this role, you will seamlessly transition from being the visionary leader securing organizational alignment on strategic initiatives to delivering new high-performance that improve our marketing recommendations with minimal human intervention.
Key job responsibilities
As an ideal candidate, you have a passion to understand the interplay of our different models, measurement strategies and KPIs. You are responsible for defining and driving our product roadmaps. You will work with product teams, forecasting teams, in-house scientists, data-engineers, software teams, and marketing organizations to identify new features and projects. As a product strategist, you must analyze the potential customer impact, select the most promising ideas, prioritize them and create a cohesive roadmap. You will also evangelize new features to our marketers, working to accelerate their adoption, track the impacts, and communicate results with senior leaders.
This is a highly visible position. You must have the experience and capability to prepare documentation for senior executives and align your roadmap with AWS Marketing strategic objectives. Excellent written, verbal communication and data analytical skills are a necessity. Successful candidates should thrive in a creative, analytical, and fast-paced environment. You will excel at looking around corners, and anticipating where to build and when to test to fail fast.
A day in the life
• Define the multi-year vision for the space
• Build and manage high quality product roadmaps based on your vision and strategy
• Work backwards to determine what the initial building blocks to achieve that vision will be
• Work with key business stakeholders, engineering partner teams and Central Science teams to build out requirements for the different phases
• Manage prioritization and trade-offs for speed to launch, performance, and features
• Gain support for your strategy and roadmap from stakeholders by writing narratives and influencing peers and senior leadership

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree
– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
– Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience leading cross-organizational programs and setting and holding teams and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority
– Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
