Senior Product Manager – Tech, Retail Pricing

The Retail Pricing team prices everything shipped and sold by Amazon, worldwide and cross-format. Our goal is to earn long term customer trust by offering the best prices to customers, across hundreds of millions of prices everyday. Experimentation, automation and scalability are a core part of our mission statement. In this role, you will seamlessly transition from being the visionary leader securing organizational alignment on strategic initiatives to delivering new high-performance, fault-tolerant capabilities that improve our prices without human intervention.

We are an interdisciplinary team of Product Managers, Engineers, and Scientists incubating and building day one solutions using cutting-edge technology to solve some of the toughest business problems at Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

This role is critical to ensuring the success of projects supporting millions of customers in their shopping missions as well as a significant portion of Amazon’s revenue. A successful candidate will bring deep product management, technical expertise, and strong business judgment, to help us execute effectively on the complex roadmaps. In this role, you will need to manage cross-functional communication, identify & mitigate risks to efficient delivery, decompose ambiguous problems into workable plans, and to lead execution across multiple teams.

This is a highly visible position. You must have the experience and capability to prepare documentation for senior executives and align your roadmap with Amazon’s strategic objectives. Excellent written, verbal communication and data analytical skills are a necessity. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelor’s degree

– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

– Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

– Experience managing technical products or online services

– Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

– Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

– Superior analytical and quantitative skills; experience using data and metrics to test theories, confirm assumptions, and measure success.

– Experience working with Science and Engineering teams building and supporting product features leveraging ML models

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
