We are looking for an intelligent and hardworking Contracts Manager to support the needs of our U.S. Stores business. This role will involve drafting and documenting a variety of commercial contractual relationships, including marketing agreements, service agreements and work orders, license agreements, and amendments, with standard fallbacks and/or under guidance of counsel; supporting and documenting rights clearances; reviewing advertising, promotion, and creative copy; supporting localization of guidelines; documenting processes; and educating business people on contract processes, policies, and guidelines.
The successful candidate will be able to work efficiently and independently; manage high volumes of tasks and projects with little guidance; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround; take effective action without having to know the total picture; and think creatively and be proactive in solving problems that affect people within the group or other related groups. The candidate will also be client-service oriented, have great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines, have great organization skills, and have the ability to easily switch gears. A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as the ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company, is essential.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of contracts management, paralegal, or other comparable experience within a law firm or legal department
– Bachelor’s Degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years’ experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating the legal terms of a range of commercial contracts
– In-house legal experience is a plus
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer focused, detail driven, and professional demeanor
– A passion for building trust with internal and external stakeholders by being proactive and innovative in solving problems that affect stakeholders and customers
– A proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
– The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
– A desire to grow professionally as the role’s responsibility grows rapidly with the business
– Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
– Strong analytical and computer skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $146,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
