Associate District Manager – Tampa/Riverview/Wesley Chapel, FL

JOB SUMMARY

The Associate District Manager (“ADM”) position will directly oversee all aspects of a reduced portfolio of Community Development Districts (“CDD”) and reports to the CDD’s governing board. The ADM is responsible for overseeing the vendors and staff that deliver services to the designated community. The ADM also helps develop budgets and organizes/leads the CDD meetings. Lastly, the ADM briefs the board on pertinent issues and ensures all the board’s decisions are enacted accordingly.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree is required.
  2. Two (2) years of work-related experience preferred
  3. Experience with presentations to large groups and/or civic boards is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND CRITICAL SKILLS

  1. Knowledge of Community Development Districts (CDD) is preferred.
  2. Knowledge of compliance with state filing and legal publication requirements is highly preferred.
  3. Knowledge and application of Microsoft Office Suite – specifically, Outlook, Word, and Power Point.
  4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  5. Ability to coordinate/manage multiple projects at the same time.
  6. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with colleagues, vendors, and customers/clients of all professional levels.
  7. Demonstrate leadership in maintaining high standards of professional behavior for self and staff.
  8. Demonstrate organization, attention to detail, problem solving, creative, and independent thinking.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for management of a designated portfolio of Districts including but not limited to the following:
    1. Preparation of District’s annual operations and maintenance budgets
    2. Conducting board meetings
    3. Preparation and distribution of board meeting minutes
    4. Preparation of board meeting agendas
    5. Maintenance of District records and files
    6. Performance of other administrative functions
  2. Coordinates activities of third party maintenance providers and oversees maintenance functions for common areas and facilities.
  3. Responsible for ensuring District is in compliance with all legal requirements.
  4. Researches, responds and resolves various district related inquiries.
  5. Corresponds with board members, homeowners, developers, attorneys, engineers, investment bankers and bank trustees.
  6. Attends various monthly meetings and presentations related to services as assigned.
  7. Performs and assists with miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None.

WORK ENVIORNMENT

Work environment is primarily in an office setting with occasional travel to required board meetings and designated districts.
