What you will do (day in the life):
In this role, you will be a contributor to the GMD Integrated Element Design Integrated Product Team (IPT) and driving key electrical interface analysis activities. You will support the design, maintenance, and assessment of GMD weapon system interfaces in a fully integrated digital engineering environment. You will work on a critical customer program utilizing proven and innovative systems engineering and analysis principles to analyze and design system capabilities, robustness, and future capability improvements for the GMD system. In this position you will work in a Systems Engineering battle rhythm with GMD team members, external MDS stakeholders, and Gov’t customer, leading technical working groups, technical interchange meetings, and executing technical design reviews. This activity will include significant coordination and execution among multi-discipline teams and digital platforms.
Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead the GMD weapon system electrical interface design, maintenance, and analysis activities on GMD. We are seeking engineers that are motivated by being part of a high-visibility mission critical program, technical leaders focused on in instilling engineering discipline and rigor, and working day-to-day in a digital engineering environment.
Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is seeking a System Engineer to join the Design IPT development team.
Work Location: Huntsville, AL
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
A System Engineer on this team
- Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
- Lead others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
- Lead analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
- Lead analyses for safety, testability, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
Requirements
• Experience in the following areas:
- Experience working with standard systems engineering processes.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and assessing hardware and software interface specifications.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. ( An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.)
This position requires clearing a background check and an enhanced Personal Conflict of Interest (PCI) requirements as a condition for employment.
Desired Experience:
- Experience working in digital engineering processes and tools
- Experience working on MDA programs, especially GMD
Required Education:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary Pay Range:
$92,000 – $138,000
