Our Information Technology Team is responsible for computer services and Enterprise Help Desk in support of unmanned rocket launches from the Eastern Range (Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL) and the Western Range (Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA).

This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.

This position not eligible for a remote telecommuting schedule. Tasks for this position must be performed on-site.

Essential Functions

  • Provide Tier 2 support on networked PCs including imaging, deploying, testing, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of issues.
  • Provide problem-solving support to computer users in a timely manner by telephone, onsite, or remotely with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Install and configure software on networked PCs.
  • Serve as a technical resource for end-users. Train company personnel on information technologies relevant to performing their work.
  • Assist Management in researching computer configurations in compliance with established department requirements.
  • Track, monitor, and document support issues in online helpdesk system.
  • Maintain and verify asset tracking information for computer equipment.
  • Assist with annual inventories of equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • High School diploma required; associate degree preferred.
  • Two (2) + years of experience in onsite computer technical support; supporting multiple locations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft client operating systems, including Windows 10.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including latest Office suites.
  • Experience with supporting Windows computers, and associated Microsoft management tools.
  • Experience with supporting network peripherals (ex. Printers, Copiers, VOIP Phones, etc.).
  • Experience with diagnosing, and resolving, client computer and network connection issues, as well as installation/configuration of client operating systems and various software applications.
  • Must currently possess or be able to obtain, within six (6) months of hire date, CompTIA’s Security+ certification.
  • Additional technical certifications (MCP, Network+) highly desired.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and squat to resolve system issues.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License

This position’s pay rate is subject to the current wage determination under the Service Contract Act. The hourly rate for this position starts at $32.68; however, RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
