Job Description
Supports all facets of Retail Marketing including promotions, advertising, events, and campaigns. Initiatives will be directed at creating awareness, driving traffic to stores, customer retention, and conversion. Utilize promotions, advertising, and localized grassroots marketing techniques to support new store growth as well as comp store growth.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS
- Assist in the planning and execution of new store opening and anniversary store advertising campaigns to increase awareness, drive traffic, and accelerate growth.
- Execute localized store/market-specific advertising to support stores including billboards, digital, radio, direct mail, and grassroots campaigns.
- Coordinate Big Box store fanfare marketing including flags, rooftop balloons, lawn signs, curb signs, external banners, and custom signs.
- Research costs and create event budgets. Coordinate event details and work with vendors to ensure events run smoothly.
- Maintain library of grassroots marketing collateral i.e., flyers, discount cards, and tear pads updated bi-annually.
- Develop partnerships with centers to participate in traffic-driving initiatives, events, and website center advertising. Ensure compliance with all lease-required advertising.
- Provide direction to Graphics department to develop creative and manage the process from inception to execution. Ensure that deadlines are met.
- Recap campaigns with written analysis in a timely manner. Analyze data and make recommendations based on results.
- Work with the Digital team to advertise and support campaigns with email and SMS.
- Communicate event and advertising details to office and field and provide clear execution expectations.
- Maintain an inventory of giveaway items to use for events and campaigns. This includes researching new creative ideas, sourcing vendors, bidding process, and overseeing the purchase and fulfillment of orders.
- Monitor competitor advertising and stay abreast of industry innovations that may be used to better Skechers’ campaigns.

- Travel to events and oversee execution as needed. Travel up to 10% locally and 5%
Qualifications
- 2-4 years marketing experience including multiple facets of marketing i.e., retail, event production, advertising, and digital.
- BA or BS in business or marketing or related field is preferred, but not required. Ability to perform detailed quantitative analysis on marketing campaigns to judge effectiveness.
- Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Basic to advanced proficiency of Adobe Photoshop a plus.
- Past experience working either in-store or at the corporate level for a big box or warehouse retailer is preferred.
