The Role:
StarRez is seeking a highly motivated Data Privacy Manager with extensive experience in data privacy compliance to join our team in the USA . As the Privacy Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring StarRez is in compliance with all applicable privacy regulations and laws, while also protecting the personal information of our clients and employees.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Working as part of the Legal team, you will:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive privacy program for the company, including policies, procedures, and guidelines for data collection, storage, and use.
- Maintain a register of where data is kept, what business purposes it is used for, and what the legal basis for its use.
- Monitor and evaluate all relevant privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR and CCPA, and ensure compliance with them.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all privacy-related inquiries and issues, both internally and externally.
- Conduct data impact privacy assessments (DPIAs) to identify potential privacy breaches and implement measures to prevent them.
- Provide training and education to all employees on privacy best practices and company policies.
- Provide subject matter expertise on a variety of privacy related programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that privacy is integrated into all aspects of StarRez’s operations.
- Brief the VP of Legal on privacy matters.
Travel Expectations:
Some travel may be needed to attend company events and training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field such as law, computer science, or information technology, or equivalent industry experience.
- 5+ years of experience working in privacy compliance is required, with a preference for experience working in the Technology, Higher Education, or Student Housing industries.
- Experience with US and global privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.
- IAPP Privacy certification (CIPP/E, CIPP/US, or CIPM) or similar certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate [JD]
- Comfortable in technical project environments; familiarity with security frameworks.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Located within the Denver, CO area.
