Job Description:
The Speech Development Laboratory within the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences is seeking a Student Assistant to work up to 10 hours per week.
Duties include: programming skills to develop test routines to use with adults and children in hearing and speech tests, as well as in simulations of cochlear implant usage.
Expected Salary:
$14.00 per hour.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be a registered UF student.
The department will consider Federal Work Study if registered as a UF Student with appropriate documentation (FWS Award).
Preferred Qualifications:
Matlab programming abilities are highly desirable as many existing programs are written in Matlab; new programs can be compiled in C++.
Some familiarity with acoustics and/or speech is desirable.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Ability to work in a team.
