Director, Risk – Program Manager

Job Description:

The Team

Fidelity Enterprise Risk Management is a global organization dedicated to protecting Fidelity’s customers, associates, and brand. We do this by helping Fidelity’s business manage operational, regulatory, and financial risk. The Project Management Office is responsible for working with our business and technology partners in delivering results associated to a multi-million-dollar technology portfolio aligned with Risk controls and Compliance mandates.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, technology, or related discipline
  • 7+ years’ experience, preferably within Risk and Compliance.
  • Prior experience with risk and compliance technologies is a plus.

You are responsible for:

Project Management: applying processes, methods, skills, knowledge, and experience to achieve specific project objectives according to the project acceptance criteria within agreed parameters.

Process Reengineering: Identifying process improvement opportunities, redesigning processes (e.g., lean improvements), establishing organization support, and launching projects.

  • Organizational skills and your ability to balance priorities across multiple concurrent deliverables while leading multiple workstreams from planning to execution.
  • Strong knowledge of data analytics to identify, analyze and bring about improvement in the existing business processes for the purpose of optimization and streamlining.
  • Aptitude to create a project charter and associated detailed project plan for implementation. Define the project mission including the desired outcome, scope / potential MVPs, timelines, incorporating milestones while identifying key-stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple business units to ensure agreed upon requirements are focused to a common goal and creating detailed process flows for the agreed upon common process.
  • Establish metric-based success measures for evaluating success.

  • Activity and resource planning – define project’s scope and prioritize based on benefit and available resources. Create a clear and concise plan to both execute the project and monitor its progress while making any necessary adjustments along the way.
  • Project tracking – in alignment with the transparency expectations of the Risk and Compliance Project Management Office, provide all necessary project documentation and tracking information in the agreed upon timeframe.
  • Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective.
  • Familiar with industry standard business process mapping, and reengineering.
  • Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc.
  • Write detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify technology.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$169,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
