As a Senior Big Data Engineer, you will be responsible for interpreting the requirements of various Big Data Analytic Use Cases and Scenarios, and driving the design and implementation of specific data.

About the job:

  • ( ASLA(Application Security Log Alarming) / ASTRA (Advanced Secure Telecommunications Routing Architecture)
  • support in the cloud along with Upstart
  • Halo efforts, driving solutions to aid in migration from UPSTART to help drive role-based access control/least privilege access control to the data and the platforms in conjunction with the governance, public cloud and governance teams
  • Design, deploy and manage the various PAAS/SAAS platforms available and managed in the cloud by CDO. Including but not limited to. Databricks, Snowflake etc.
  • Define data requirements, gather and mine large volumes of structured and unstructured data at scale, and validate data by running various data tools in the Big Data Environment.
  • Support the standardization, customization and ad-hoc data analysis and will develop the mechanisms to ingest, analyze, validate, normalize and clean data.
  • Implement statistical data quality procedures on new data sources and by applying rigorous iterative data analytics, supports Data Scientists in data sourcing and preparation to visualize data and synthesize insights of commercial value.
  • Work with Big Data Policy and Security teams and Legal to create data policy and develop interfaces and retention models which requires synthesizing or anonymizing data.
  • Develop and maintain data engineering best practices and contribute to Insights on data analytics and visualization concepts, methods and techniques.

Qualifications:
• 5-8 Years Azure cloud experience designing, developing, testing and production administration of cloud-based environments.
• 2-5 Years hands on experience migrating on-prem Hadoop environments to cloud based solutions such as databricks, snowflake etc.
• 2-5 years hands on experience, working to define network solutions and structures that define and map out the overarching environment on which these cloud-based solutions will reside and run
• Strong background(hands-on) working with Azure Keyvault, secret scopes, private endpoints. Azure AD, AD, AADDS
• Working knowledge of HDI, Azure’s cloud-based implementation of Hadoop
• Hands on security management and configuration requirements of Databricks on Azure to ensure platform integrity.
• Strong hands on working knowledge of ADLSg2, Delta Live Tables, and pioelines
• Strong hands on experience with Databricks configuration, Databricks cluster policies and clusters, Administration of Security access to the Databricks system
• Hands on experience confihuraion Databricks cluster policies and clusters
• Strong exposure to Azure DevOps for creating CI/CD pipelines.
• Design, develop, configuration of Realtime UI monitoring utilizing Prometheus and Grafana UI with Databricks in order to help understand and drive down potential costs.
• Requires Daily Office Presence in Plano, Texas.

Education:
• Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science, Math or Scientific Computing preferred.

Our Professional-Big Data Engineers earn between $115,600 – $231,100. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
