Summary:
The Assistant, Match Day Media Relations will help oversee media relations operations at Earthquakes home matches. Match day roles include acting as photo marshal, press box attendant, statistician, and media will call attendant, among others as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee key areas of the club’s media relations game day operations.
- Assist members of the media to ensure a smooth and enjoyable work experience.
- Work in collaboration with the Coordinator, Communications to solve problems that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of soccer, the San Jose Earthquakes, and Major League Soccer.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capability to manage assignments from start to finish, without direct supervision.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work at least 50% of all home matches during the remainder of the 2023 season, including non-league competitions. These will primarily take place at PayPal Park, but may take place at different venues throughout the Bay Area.
- Punctuality and professionalism.
- Prior experience in sports preferred, but not required.
Pay: $17.00/hour
