Position Title
Part Time Secretary – Cass County Center
Job Description
The Part Time Secretary will provide assistance to the director of the Cass County Center. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with daily functions of the center including covering the front desk, proctoring exams, taking payments, processing bills, ordering supplies and managing the master schedule for classroom bookings
- Provide support for all programs (college credit, adult and continuing education, HiSet, and others).
- Collect data for reports and student records for Center programs in a systematic and timely manner
- Open and close Center occasionally as needed outside of regular hours
This position involves extensive computer & time management skills. Schedules will be primarily days with the occasional night or weekend.

Required Qualifications
- Detail orientated, handle confidential matters
- Ability to perform receptionist duties: answer phone, take messages, greet and help visitors and students courteously, manage mail and keep files in an orderly fashion
- Experience and skills with MS office products including Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint
- Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U,S, driver license and good driving record.

Requires periods of standing or sitting. Requires frequent bending, stooping, stretching. May require moderate lifting. Needs the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone, and other basic office equipment, and ability to work with diverse populations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and use a phone. some travel, by vehicle is required. Reading, writing, calculating and social interactions skills, reasoning analysis, and ability to work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem solving, organizational skills with the teaching and learning process, and high level of inter-personal skills is preferred.
