The role
The Senior People Business Partner at SoFi is a trusted business partner and an objective resource and advocate for the business and its employees. In this critical role on our People Team, you will partner with the Bank and Borrow leadership team and their respective organizations. The position leverages strong partnerships across the People function to deliver value-added support that reflects the business objectives and culture initiatives of the organization.
What you’ll do:
- Serve as a trusted business partner, providing thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution
- Partner with your designated business to roll out all key people processes (performance management, compensation, benefits, development programs, etc.)
- Be an objective resource and advocate, balancing the needs of the business and the employee population
- Solve problems and get to the root cause of any issue. Design and quickly implement solutions that cut across multiple disciplines, even those beyond people and organizational solutions
- Manage employee relations issues with discretion and finesse while coaching and facilitating feedback
- Understand when to use data to identify and surface trends; ultimately improving organizational health
- Serve as a culture driver; live the SoFi values
- Build strong relationships through effective communication and collaboration with all levels of stakeholders
- Be informed and knowledgeable about our business
- Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
What you’ll need:
- 5+ years as an HR Business Partner
- BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business or related field or equivalent work experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Proven ability to work cross functionally to manage projects with multiple stakeholders and drive People team outcomes
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with G-Suite and Excel
- Experience supporting VP and SVP level leadership
- Experience building strong rapport and relationships with the ability to adapt to various styles and situations, tailoring messages to all levels and audiences
- Ability to quickly understand and deal with risks and opportunities in business situations leading to successful outcomes
- Experience coaching leaders – developing leaders, influencing action and accountability, and connecting stakeholders with varying interests
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
- Agility – the ability to be flexible, adaptable, and resilient
- Comfortability with using data to drive decision making

Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.

Pay range: $86,400.00 – $162,000.00
Payment frequency: Annual
