Description
Job Title: Annual Fund Manager
Department: Development
Reports to: Sr. Director, Development
Status: Full-time, Exempt
Summary: The annual fund manager works closely with the Sr. Director of Development to successfully achieve contributed income with multi-million dollar goals and develop deep relationships with donors through excellence in donor stewardship and engagement. This position manages large-scale, multi-channel renewal and acquisition campaigns including direct mail and digital solicitations. This key position is part of a large, dynamic advancement team that supports the work of Houston’s world-class orchestra.
Essential Job Functions:
- Plan and execute all Annual Fund Campaigns and keep clear line of communication between Development and Marketing including campaign timelines, messaging, design, artistic participation when appropriate
- Create reports to track responses to campaigns for analysis
- Along with the Sr. Director of Development, manage the Symphony’s telefunding efforts
- Manage source codes in Tessitura for annual fund tracking
- Manage extractions and lists Annual Fund Campaign, direct mail and digital solicitations
- Manage donor benefits, including creation of collateral and implementation of large scale benefits
- Maintain the Annual Fund Donor Listing for print and digital publication
- Manage gift forms through MobileCause
- Track expenses related to Annual Fund in the Individual Giving Budget
- Attend performances and donor events as required
- Perform additional duties as required by the Houston Symphony Society.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 2 years fundraising experience with emphasis on individual giving
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with databases, spreadsheets, reporting and mail merge functions as well as desktop publishing (Publisher).
- Professional demeanor, detail oriented.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and writing skills.
- Creativity and flexibility.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
