HDR is looking for a Water & Wastewater Modeler and Planner with a focus in utility planning using hydraulic modeling software to join our team of Engineers, Scientists and Project Managers to support projects for HDR clients across Colorado. The ideal candidate will have a background involving the delivery of utility infrastructure master planning, design, and hydraulic modeling projects associated with water distribution and sanitary sewer collection systems. They will be responsible for developing and calibrating water and wastewater hydraulic models, performing GIS data analysis, alternatives analysis, preliminary engineering, cost analysis, and capital project development. Other responsibilities will include client interaction in project meetings and presentations, report writing, and developing proposal scopes with level of effort estimates. This role may include task-level responsibility for project teams, mentoring other staff, and quality assurance/quality control activities for hydraulic modeling and master planning projects.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in utility hydraulic modeling and utility master planning
- PE license
- Knowledge and experience with wastewater collection system and/or water distribution system hydraulic modeling software
- Willingness to learn and grow technical and professional skills to meet client and market needs
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a team environment
- Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must have excellent written and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field a plus
- Proficiency in ArcGIS for mapping and analysis
- Knowledge and experience with software such as InfoAsset Planner, Python, R, Tableau, PowerBI or similar
- Task management experience with increasing responsibility
- Experience working for a public water and/or wastewater utility, public works department, or engineering consulting firm is beneficial
- Experience assisting with project budgeting, project management, and client management activities
- Experience working with clients within Colorado and the Denver metropolitan area

The expected compensation range for this position is $69,510.00 – $109,230.00 annually/hourly depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
