Community Outreach Program Manager – Youth Education and Development

Responsibilities:

  1. Supports leadership and executes project activities for implementation of educational program delivery; including planning the programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones, and processes, budget development and maintenance, and monitoring program effectiveness and performance by creating data collection methods and evaluation strategies to determine the need for improvements.
  2. Supports leadership in achieving programmatic goals and quality services to achieve the overall mission of the CAPP grant.
  3. Develops priorities and monitors the status of project goals and staff tasks on an ongoing basis to ensure grant compliance.
  4. Plans and executes group events including scheduling, budget, content, communication, negotiation, and other tasks related to DOE and DOH processes and procedures.
  5. Acts as liaison and fosters communication between the CAPP team, DOE administration and staff, CCMC staff, and DOH managers and advisor to ensure effective program implementation, achievement of program goals, and managing budget development. Also manages communication with consultants and the implementation of consultant programs.
  6. Oversees programmatic work and goals of on-site educators and part-time social work staff, including direct on-site observation of educational program delivery; implementation of evidence-based interventions, parent, teen communication workshops, and social media programming; and regularly scheduled supervisory meetings.
  7. Performs evaluation, research, and analysis for DOH and DOE reports on the achievements of interventions, programs, and initiatives. Also provides technical assistant
  8. Provide some direct services such as evidence-based classroom interventions, and parenting programming.

Minimum Required Experience & Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree such as MPH preferred), with a minimum of 2 years experience with project management experience required.
  • Strong analytic, communication, written and oral skills, required.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple, time sensitive projects and tight deadlines.
  • Experience working with youth and demonstrated ability to be inclusive and non-stigmatizing of youth in their role.
  • Ability to facilitate discussion/teach classes to youth in a variety of settings on reproductive health topics such as reproductive anatomy, contraceptive methods, STDs, and HIV/AIDS.
  • Knowledge of reproductive health, anatomy and physiology, and family planning.
  • Knowledge of or experience with priority population to be served and community.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and/or weekends.
  • Bilingual skills, depending on the community and youth being served.

The salary range for this position is $70,470.08-$116,869.94/year
