IT Manager II- RTR GL & Finance – $10,000 Hiring Bonus

Overview

Bio-Rad is looking for IT Manager (SAP Finance Integration, FI, Month-end Close and GL) to support our global organization. As part of the Global ERP team, you will lead implement and stabilize the SAP ERP system, focusing on SAP Finance (FI) and month end reconciliation system (Cadency). We are looking for a well-rounded leader with a combination of strong Record to Report process experience (SAP FI/GL). If you are analytical, well organized, have strong business knowledge and the ability to be hands-on and a desire to “dive into the details” this is the right position for you. You will lead the development of global business systems analysis methods, tools, and strategies. You will also serve as subject matter expert for the business systems group (namely the global financial shared service). As this role has business facing responsibilities, you must also be comfortable with presenting to the senior Finance management.

This role is in Global IT and it reports into the IT Finance Solution Leader. The position will focus on SAP Finance (FI/GL) aspects of the Record to Report processes; below are a few of major business processes areas:

  • Experienced in General Ledger Business processes and legal entity management.
  • Experienced in financial supply chain; accounting entries from the Order to Cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (PTP) and Plan to Make (PTM) document flows.
  • Experienced in Revenue Recognition / Deferred Revenue business process.
  • Experienced in month end business process and reconciliation solutions like (Cadency).
  • Experienced in SAP Integration with other applications like Oracle EPM / Cadnecy / others.
  • Experienced in supporting global financial shared service in process as well in technology.
  • Experienced in SAP Concur Integration (Concur expense management experience is a plus).
  • Integration with external and internal systems.

Working with the Bio-Rad Finance team leader, subject matter experts and stakeholders globally to:

  • Analyze and document current and future business needs.
  • Ensure future business processes satisfy the intent.
  • Lead the configuration for the business processes.
  • Liaison working cross-functionally with other business teams to ensure business processes operate at their optimum efficiency.
  • Lead team ensuring that the system is built for intended use.
  • Maintain system integrity through the traceability of requirements to delivery document of the SAP system.
  • Ensure the SAP Finance areas are well supported.

The position will use business and IT perspectives and work effectively within cross functional areas of the organization, including:

  • Other process area managers on the ERP team.
  • Key managers and stakeholders throughout the company.

How You’ll Make An Impact:

  • Engage with the Business partners and other IT COE teams to deliver high priority projects and enhancements.
  • Guide the design of business processes and the ability to translate verbal requirements into design documents.
  • Configure system changes to SAP ECC /Cadency as required, either in the context of a major project release or a quarterly enhancements release.
  • Adherence to company IT implementation methodology and documentation standards.
  • The ability to manage small to medium enhancement projects and to drive for the successful delivery of projects.
  • An IT professional with a passion for delivering successful projects.
  • To be a key contributor to system documentation and ensure that all steps in the process are complete.
  • Work closely with Business Process Specialists (BPS) and play a prominent role in educating business resources.
  • A self-starter with great personal organization skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a collaborative, teamwork focused environment.
  • Act as a contact between the US Global IT, Global Finance Shared service and off-shore support resources, when required.
  • Communicate status to the Global IT leadership team and Finance business partners.
  • Partner with IT COE colleagues from other teams on cross-functional process designs and process issues.
  • Identify root causes of finance planning/budgeting/consolidation and close process issues and identify pragmatic, sustainable solutions.
  • Co-ordinate the resolution of high priority RTR system issues in conjunction with the offshore Support team.
  • Act as a mentor to less experienced SAP RTR colleagues.
  • Willingness to travel <=30% of the time to company sites in Europe and Asia.
  • A “Project Management” mindset for working in a high paced environment with multiple releases.

What You Bring:

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in configuring SAP ECC Finance modules with focus on FI/GL, Data Management, and Integration with other applications like Cadency, Concur, Oracle EPM.
  • Demonstrable business analysis and technical design skills and best practices in SAP financial and consolidation areas.
  • Familiarity with SAP Finance modules and the touch points and integration in master data/balance and other information.
  • Previous experience working with vendor partners in an IT support environment.
  • Conversant with IT support tools and an understanding of ITIL processes & Agile methodologies.
  • Experience implementing RPA & Machine Learning technologies is a plus.
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical device, life science, or clinical diagnostics compliance is a plus.
  • Experience with documenting requirements and following procedures in a FDA regulated environment is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/IT or a related field or five years’ experience in a related IT field.
  • Experience in a personnel management role with a strong record of building and managing teams through leadership, direction, coaching, and mentoring is a plus.

This position is eligible for a $10,000 HIRING BONUS: Offered for a limited time only. Applicable to specific positions as labeled. Recipients must be employed at the time of payout. Payout after 30 days of employment with Bio-Rad. Offered to direct hires only. Agency hires and internal transfers are not eligible. 12 months repayment clause.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $145,400 to $199,900 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
