We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Corporate Attorney. This transactional attorney will focus on on providing legal assistance to the support departments within our organization. As an integral part of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our support functions operate efficiently and effectively while managing the legal aspects of their transactions and activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal guidance and support to various support departments, including HR, IT, Strategy, and Communications, on a wide range of transactional and operational matters
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to support department activities, ensuring they align with company policies and legal requirements
- Identify potential legal risks within support department operations and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively
- Stay up-to-date with legal developments and precedents relevant to support duncitons and provide timely legal research and analysis
- Collaborate closely with other members of the legal team and relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless legal support across the organization
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school required
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience required
- Minimum 2 years practicing law, post-law school graduation with a focus on transactional and corporate matters required
- Strong understanding of contract law
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
- Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $131.700 – $197,500 . The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
