The Amazon Prime Video UX team is seeking a self-motivated, ownership-minded, and nimble Senior Manager, UX Program Management, to lead a team of UX Design Program Managers (aka UX Producers). This role and team will be a force-multiplier for our UX Design & Research teams, amplifying our efforts and impact. The person in this role serves as the first point of contact for UX planning/roadmapping and vision-setting. The ideal candidate will exhibit leadership, high judgment, the ability to influence, and exceptional organization and communication skills.
This role will provide program management leadership and operational support throughout our design organization and across partner teams by increasing communication and connection points, streamlining the design process, and driving design excellence. You will lead a UX DPM team whose goals are to collaborate closely with designers, researchers, engineers, product managers, and other program managers leading projects throughout the planning, design, and development cycle. In this role, you’ll combine expert project management skills with a passion for user experience to help your team improve the designs of a streaming service used by millions of customers. You’ll work cross-functionally and collaborate with design leadership, designers, product, and engineering teams to plan projects, define milestones, assess risks, and help projects meet deadlines. You will also manage communications to team members, executives and other stakeholders. Key job responsibilities
– Manage a team of UX Design Program Managers for the Prime Video UX Design and Research Studio
– Partner with UX leadership in key project decision-making, including: requirements gathering, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of teams and reviews
– Act as a bridge between UX, Engineering, and Product Management (PM) teams, connecting all three groups and making sure interdependencies are understood and planned for
– Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints
– Lead design delivery by managing team backlogs and removing obstacles, coordinating reviews with stakeholders and leadership, communicating team status, and empowering designers to own their timelines
– Implement repeatable processes and tools to help us prioritize, plan and manage multiple parallel projects across the team and our stakeholders
– Create, maintain, and disseminate project information to stakeholders and senior management
– Work across teams to create strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leadership teams
– Communicate project status with design leadership, design teams and stakeholders regularly
– Lead improvements to team efficiency and process
– Promote a sense of transparency, visibility, and community among our team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
* 10+ years experience as a UX Program Manager, Product Manager, Producer, or similar role
* Experience leading a team
* Background working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary UX team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Understanding of UX design and software development
* Experience working with entertainment and technology development companies.
* Ability to effectively manage cross functional projects, dependencies and bottlenecks
* Experience escalating issues, anticipating and making trade-offs, balance the business need versus other constraints and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences
* Experience using problem solving and analytical skills to solve business problems and drive process improvements
* Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
* Ability to work effectively with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
* Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
* Experience understanding needs of business and end customers and translating them into right solutions
* Experience working with distributed teams, across multiple time zones

The base pay for this position ranges from $128,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $238,300/year in our highest geographic market.
