Selective Insurance is recruiting for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist for our Branchville, NJ office. The Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist will be is responsible for supporting all aspects of the talent acquisition life cycle. This includes partnering with business leaders and HR Business Partners to develop effective recruiting and pipelining strategies, and the employee value propositions. Manages talent acquisition for current and future needs, ensures adherence to company hiring processes, coordinates internal transfers and supports new hire on-boarding to deliver a positive candidate experience.

Job Responsibilities
- Proactively partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to determine current and future job needs and hiring strategies. Provide appropriate coaching and training to leaders and employees on various talent topics (i.e., interviewing workshops, talent acquisition practices, etc.)
- Sources diverse, qualified candidates using talent data, candidate database, postings, job boards, employee referrals, social media, professional organizations, networking, external recruiters, etc. Screen and interview potential candidates to determine position/potential fit and recommend top qualified candidates to hiring managers. Source candidate pools continuously, building a strong pipeline for future talent, maintaining open communications with future talent pools. Ensure diversity boards and associations are used with all postings and ensure outreach to associated candidates.
- Maximize recruiting resources/tools to ensure quality candidates are hired in a timely manner. Ensure that statuses are updated in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Stay current with technologies impacting talent acquisition, sourcing candidates, and insurance-related job descriptions. Maintain an understanding of market conditions.
- Work closely with HR Business Partners to align workforce planning strategies, evaluate candidates and understand goals and objectives impacting staffing needs and plans.
- Develop strong relationships with business leaders and employee base. Build a strong understanding of the goals and responsibilities of assigned business to align talent acquisition strategies. Manage associated 3rd party vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring compliance with company practices.
- Maintain knowledge of all compensation philosophies, programs, and practices.
- Assist in developing, refining, and promoting the employer brand, the Employee Value Proposition, the departments, and positions to potential candidates.
- Analyze recruiting efforts and processes to determine and continuously refine best practices for effective / high quality talent acquisition that also focuses on the candidate experience for both internal and external candidates.
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of full cycle recruiting experience required.
- Knowledge of the insurance industry and/or a service center environment a plus.
- Experience in developing and implementing recruitment strategies.
- Experience creating and presenting talent acquisition metrics and reports.
- Excellent relationship building, consultative and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, LinkedIn, and other social media tools. Prior experience with UKG recruiting is a plus.
Salary range:$80,000 – $132,100. The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective’s footprint. Additional considerations include the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
