The Event Marketing Center of Excellence (CoE) is a virtual center of marketing professionals with specialized knowledge delivering extraordinary results from strategy to consultation and planning to execution. The Event Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting marketing team members in creating exceptional BDO-branded live and online event interactions for our clients, contacts, and prospects.

Job Duties:

  • Coordinates event communication and logistical tasks as assigned by senior team members and throughout the event planning process
  • Summarizes vendor quotes and options to help senior team members evaluate options and select optimal venue and event packages
  • Reviews year-to-date expenses compared to event budgets to identify anomalies or higher spending trends and raise with COE leaders
  • Helps to track success measures and analyze events against objectives, for leadership reporting and review
  • Coordinates the invitation and registration process
  • Offers on-site event support, as needed
  • Performs post-event duties such as expense processing, invoice reconciliation, evaluations, sharing feedback with event team, marketing colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Champions the BDO brand in all event marketing activities
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, required; with a focus in Business Administration, Communications, or Marketing, preferred

Experience:

  • One (1) or more years of Marketing / Event Planning experience, required
  • One (1) or more years of experience working in Professional Services, preferred

License/Certifications:

  • N/A

Software:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, required
  • CRM experience, preferred

Language:

  • N/A

  • Planning and coordinating skills
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a team environment
  • Ability to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment with a customer service focus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to present during team meetings
  • Organizational and project management skills
  • Active listener and interpreter enabling the transformation of ideas into reality
  • Ability to understand the context of the event and the type of guests attending
  • Aptitude for planning budgets, negotiating and communicating with teams and internal stakeholders
  • Critical thinker and problem solver
  • May travel up to 20%, as needed

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

Range: $23.07/hr to $31.81/hr
