Private Wealth Management (PWM)
Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond.
The Portfolio Management Group (PMG) is a dedicated and experienced team that is responsible for managing multi-asset class discretionary mandates primarily for institutional clients. This team brings together the independent investment advice of the Investment Strategy Group (ISG), a rigorous investment process and a broad range of implementation options, enabling them to construct risk-focused portfolios designed especially for each client’s unique considerations.
PMG is seeking an Analyst who can provide portfolio/relationship management support to Private Wealth Management (PWM) teams by focusing on client service, serving as a key liaison to Private Wealth and Institutional Advisors, and assisting in managing the investment process. The individual will be a main point of contact for PWM teams with respect to supporting new business solicitations, liaising with legal in supporting the negotiation of investment management agreements, and managing general on-going client portfolio needs. Portfolio management responsibilities will include rebalancing and trading support, creation/management of marketing materials, on-going / ad hoc reporting and investment analysis requests, and other client support functions.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
- Work closely with Institutional Advisors to support and implement multi-asset class strategies for clients
- Assist on projects related to new business development, including creation and maintenance of marketing materials
- Portfolio monitoring and rebalancing to predefined risk and construction parameters
- Assist in managing portfolio implementation plans, on-boarding discussions, and changes to investment management agreements
- Manage generation of client performance reports including quarterly reviews, and performance attribution
- Research and report on internal and external investment vehicles on a regular basis across equities, fixed income, and alternative investment strategies
- Keep abreast of the latest events in financial markets
- Relay GS research and market views to Institutional Advisors
- Work in conjunction with various product groups within the Consumer and Investment Management Division to respond to client needs
- Serve as a key liaison to other areas supporting the PMG business including Legal, Compliance, and Technology
- Assist with trading and provide client service and team support

QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or equivalent)
- Related financial services experience of 2-4 years
- Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of financial markets
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Must be comfortable presenting to audiences of varying sizes and sophistication
- Detail orientation, patience, and demonstrated ability to multi-task under pressure
- Strong interpersonal/leadership skills and a passion to engage with advisors and clients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
- Strong interest in the financial markets and good investment sense/commercial instinct
- Collaborative and team-oriented
- Highly proficient in Windows Technology (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to foster a strong network of relationships with numerous colleagues and desks across the Firm
- Series 7 and 63 required; obtaining CFA Charter highly encouraged and will be sponsored in accordance with firm policy

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $75000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
