KIPP Philadelphia Schools Public Schools (KPPS) is a part of the national KIPP Public Schools network and currently leads six schools serving approximately 2,400 students in North and West Philadelphia. This fall, we will found our seventh school. By 2030, KPPS will lead ten schools serving approximately 4,000 students.

Job Description
Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the High School Data Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining critical school data, testing, and scheduling systems at KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy (KDCA), which serves over 500 students across grades 9-12. This is a full-time, 12 month position.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Coverages
- Serve as master scheduler; create, refine and modify as needed the daily course and bell schedule for the school as well as individual schedules for each student
- Manage and respond to schedule change requests from students and families
- Manage planned and unplanned teacher absences; coordinate with leaders, teachers and substitute agencies to ensure lesson materials are in place and guest teachers are set up for success
- Manage KDCA’s relationship with the substitute agencies they partner with
Testing Coordination
- Serve as the school’s Testing Coordinator, ensuring all local, state and national testing adhere to state/national guidelines, including but not limited to–
- Testing materials storage and distribution
- Testing schedule and logistics
- Testing participation rates
- Ensure all staff are trained and equipped to administer tests in adherence to state/national guidelines; ensure testing communication is clear, concise, and timely
- Monitor and manage late testing and testing for absent students
Database Management & Data Analysis
- Manage and maintain key school data systems (including PowerSchool, DeansList, Scholarchip, staff and student Google accounts), ensuring functionality and accuracy
- Work closely with the Assistant Principal of Student Experience to create and monitor student data reports and procedures
- Provide training to teachers/staff members as needed on usage of these systems and create new accounts as needed
- Provide responsive troubleshooting and support to students or staff members encountering technical issues
- Run, print and distribute weekly reports linked to key school initiatives or metrics
- Analyze data and proactively identify problematic trends and propose solutions
Serve as an Operations Team Member
- Serve as an active member of the KDCA operations team, supporting the team with other tasks and duties as needed
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills
- Prior experience with school database management and reporting preferred
- High level of comfort using Microsoft Excel and other databases
- Ability to exercise excellent judgment in decision-making
- Strong communication skills and follow-through
- Ability to effectively engage with a variety of stakeholders, including peers, students, families and partner organizations
- Resourceful thinker with an orientation towards problem-solving and taking initiative
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and implement feedback
- Flexible team player
- Enthusiasm and sense of humor

- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience working in K-12 schools in an urban setting preferred

Compensation
- The salary range for this position starts at $60,000 and is commensurate with experience.
