Product Specialist Trainee

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Supporting and developing the market intelligence function with market research for our products.
  • Gathering and interpreting data, formulating reports and making recommendations based upon the research findings.
  • Looking for trends and patterns in data fields; testing hypothesis based on data sets.
  • Utilizing qualitative and quantitative techniques to interpret the data and produce substantiated recommendations.
  • Developing and maintaining key program overviews to include program potential, target applications, build rates, timelines, and regularly scheduled program reviews.
  • Shadow experienced Product Specialists to learn best practices for customer engagement and relationship management.
  • Assisting the Product Managers and Business Development Manager with commercial and technical proposals.
  • Leading customer audits and working closely to ensure all necessary departments are involved, prepared, and able to support customer requests.
  • Assisting in the development of marketing literature
  • Tracking of divisional programs and objectives
  • Coordinating process and procedure improvement / implementation.
  • Gradually transition from a trainee role to a full-fledged Product Specialist, taking on more responsibilities and managing your own portfolio of customers.
  • Assist in conducting product demonstrations and presentations to clients, highlighting features, benefits, and applications of our products.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements, recommend suitable products, and assist in the preparation of proposals and quotations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Marketing, Engineering, etc.).

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Quick learner with a proactive attitude towards learning and self-improvement.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic understanding of technology and the ability to grasp technical concepts quickly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Prior customer service or sales experience is a plus.

MIN: $60,000.00- MAX: $62,400.00
